Swim

TODAYS PLANDistance as listed

Published training plan for JR on 2026-12-24. Follow the listed sets, recovery and coach guidance.

Provisional training goal

Use short enjoyable skill sessions and individual recovery after actual target meets. This late-December transition is an editable planning assumption; existing closures, meets and family commitments control attendance.

Technique

Work on steady repeatability with technique. Use short coach-demonstrated pieces, normal breathing and enough recovery to keep the skill accurate.

Swim focus

Recovery-phase choice: easy familiar technique, relaxed swimming and play/mobility, or individual rest. Omit the quality or endurance extension from the linked menu.

Skill observation

Use one event cue and compare two controlled rate/count choices. A formal lactate or threshold test is not part of this default.

NOTES

Learning and preparation

Explain the role of a varied meal/snack and normal hydration in training; refer individual medical nutrition questions appropriately.
