Grievance Procedure

Scope

Addresses violations of team policies (codes of conduct, MAAPP, bullying, etc.). Criminal or SafeSport matters should also be reported externally as required.

Steps

• Submit concern (written preferred) to Head Coach or Safe Sport Coordinator (Dana, dana@teamgoldusa.com).
• Interim safety actions may be taken (no-contact, temporary removal from activity).
• Fact-finding: collect statements, documents, and witness accounts.
• Decision & Remedies: written outcome, corrective actions, appeal path if applicable.
• Mandatory external reporting when required (USA Swimming Safe Sport, U.S. Center for SafeSport, law enforcement).

Non-Retaliation

Good-faith reporters and witnesses are protected from retaliation. Retaliation is itself a policy violation.
