TEAMGOLDUSA • AUBURN, CALIFORNIA

Technique first.
A pathway for every swimmer.

Coach Marc Stanley uses USA Swimming’s American Development Model (ADM) to guide patient, purposeful progress. Instruction brings swimmers with compatible learning needs together and develops skills, confidence, character and team connection.

OUR GROUPS

Instruction matched to readiness.

AGO · Levels 1–2

Foundational skills

AGO develops foundational swimming skills through TEAMGOLDUSA curriculum aligned with ADM Levels 1–2. Technique instruction, water confidence, lane awareness, starts and turns are introduced in manageable steps. Athletes learn to listen, encourage teammates and take pride in steady progress.

AGOQ · Levels 3–4

Competitive readiness

AGOQ builds technical consistency and competitive readiness through TEAMGOLDUSA curriculum aligned with ADM Levels 3–4. Athletes develop all four strokes, starts, turns, pacing and practice habits while learning race preparation, responsibility and constructive responses to feedback.

JR/SR · Principally Levels 5–6

Individual event development

JR/SR provides individualized development, principally drawing on ADM Levels 5–6. Coaching connects technique with event goals, purposeful race-pace work, meet preparation and progress reviews. Training demands develop gradually with readiness, recovery habits, confidence and leadership.

Home School · Individual Levels

Daytime development

Home School provides daytime coaching at each swimmer’s assessed developmental level. Athletes work within the same ADM-aligned pathway as AGO, AGOQ and JR/SR; Saturday participation is assigned by developmental readiness. A daytime schedule does not determine an athlete’s skill level.

Age is one consideration. Technique, attention, maturity, learning style, training readiness and coach assessment shape placement. A swimmer may develop at different rates across the four ADM outcomes.

HOW PROGRESS WORKS

A clear next step for each athlete.

  1. Assess: Coach Marc reviews skills, learning needs and training readiness.
  2. Set goals: Identify practical technique, training and personal-development priorities.
  3. Practice: Use appropriate repetitions, feedback and competition preparation.
  4. Review: Discuss progress and adjust the next goals or group assignment when ready.

Families can ask which skills their swimmer is developing and what the next step looks like. Advancement is individualized.
