TEAMGOLDUSA tryouts are reserved for eligible swimmers who need an introduction, readiness assessment, or appropriate program placement.
BEFORE YOU REQUEST A TRYOUT
Tryouts are available only to eligible swimmers.
This policy protects athletes, families, coaches, and clubs from unnecessary conflict or recruiting pressure while keeping placement opportunities open to swimmers who genuinely need them.
Recreation Swimmers
Athletes coming from recreation, summer league, lessons, school, or non-USA Swimming programs.
Unattached USA Swimming Athletes
USA Swimming athletes who are officially unattached and are not currently representing another club.
Currently Attached USA Swimming Athletes
TEAMGOLDUSA does not provide tryouts to swimmers currently attached to another USA Swimming club. Families should first resolve the existing coaching and club relationship and follow applicable transfer procedures.
OUR STANDARD
No secret recruiting. No athlete caught between adults.
We will not use a tryout to recruit an attached swimmer away from another team or to undermine another coach. When a family is considering a legitimate transition, the adults should communicate openly and complete the appropriate club and USA Swimming process before requesting a TEAMGOLDUSA placement evaluation.
