What recognition means
Recognition represents a club-wide commitment to athlete safety. It is not simply a badge or a one-time application. It requires continuing education, policy awareness, reporting access, and responsible adult behavior.
What families should expect
Observable interactions
Team activities and adult-minor interactions should be appropriate, observable, and interruptible.
Approved channels
Electronic communication involving minor athletes follows MAAPP requirements and parent-access expectations.
Informed adults and athletes
Training helps members recognize boundaries, warning signs, misconduct, and reporting responsibilities.
Clear options
Families can report to emergency authorities, the Center, USA Swimming, or the club depending on the concern.
Recognition does not replace vigilance
