Meet Entries & Deadlines
Understand team plans, family commitments, event requests, accepted entries, and deadlines before a swim meet.
Three different confirmations
A team attending a meet, your family committing, and your swimmer having an accepted entry are separate steps. Complete the process your club and meet host require.
From calendar to accepted entry
| Step | What it means | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Team plan | The club identifies a meet. | Who should attend; location; coach’s notes. |
| Family commitment | You tell the club your swimmer’s availability. | Dates, sessions, and relay availability. |
| Event requests | Events are proposed for coach review. | Readiness, event limits, and current seed times. |
| Entry submission | An entry is sent through the meet’s required process. | Who submits, the deadline, and any required payment. |
| Accepted entry | The host or entry system confirms the entry. | Confirmation and the actual events and sessions listed. |
Before the deadline
Use this checklist while reading. Checks reset when you reload; nothing is saved to an athlete record.

Use event requests when the coach directs you to. A request or commitment alone is not an accepted meet entry.
Questions families ask
Can I enter after the listed deadline?
Do not assume late entries are available. Check the announcement and ask the entry contact; entries may also close before the published deadline if the meet fills.
What is a seed time?
The entry time used to arrange swimmers for a race. Use a verified result or an estimate only when the meet’s rules permit it and the coach approves the approach.
Does paying prove my child is entered in every requested event?
Review the entry confirmation and accepted event list. A payment record alone does not describe all event details.
